NEW YORK, NY – Yesterday, NYC Mayor de Blasio announced his executive budget, including a $22 million investment in Census 2020 outreach and education efforts, in addition to $4 million in unspent dollars from the last fiscal year. In response, New York Counts 2020 thanked the Mayor for his leadership and stressed the importance of allocating funding to community-based organizations with strong ties to hard-to-reach populations, particularly in underserved communities.
