The NYIC believes in the power of the written word and its ability to celebrate the immigrant experience. This year’s event, to be held on April 18, 2023, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, will be an in-person/virtual hybrid event, featuring a virtual moderated panel discussion alongside an in-person celebration, during which our featured authors will provide exclusive commentary on their literary works and engage with one other in conversation about current issues facing immigrant and refugee communities today. This spring, we are so excited to be featuring celebrated authors Karla Cornejo Villavicencio, Aya Ghanameh, and Nawaaz Ahmed. Through this event, we hope to uplift immigrant voices, encourage empathy, and ultimately achieve a more equitable New York.
In-person tickets for the event are sold out, but you can still register to join us virtually!
