New York, NY—Today, news broke that the Adams administration is ordering some city agencies to slash their budgets by an additional 4% on top of cuts implemented last year. Budget Director Jacques Jiha wrote in a letter to agency heads that these cuts, known as Program to Eliminate the Gap (PEGs), would be part of the Mayor’s executive budget to come out later this spring.

New York, NY—Yesterday, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that the City will open two new Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Centers (HERRC), which will house asylum seekers who had been previously staying at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal HERRC.
