  • CityFHEPs
    • $1.64 billion to support individuals and families on the verge, or already experiencing, homelessness

Murad Awawdeh, President and CEO, New York Immigration Coalition:

“Few groups in New York feel the pressure of skyrocketing living expenses more than immigrants. Mayor Mamdani’s first budget resets the city’s priorities towards stability, equity, and long-term investment in the everyday people who power this city. Years of short-sighted social service cuts and underfunding in essential programs hurt too many working families. Mamdani’s budget proposal begins to correct the failures of the previous administration through critical investments in universal child care, housing stability, and food assistance. We look forward to working closely with the City Council to bring this promising blueprint over the finish line into a final adopted budget.”
