NYIC Condemns Erick Salgado’s Appointment as Assistant Commissioner of Outreach at MOIA

New York, NY- Last week, Mayor Eric Adams announced the appointment of Erick Salgado to the position of Assistant Commissioner of Outreach at the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA). Considering Salgado’s prejudicial history of anti-LGBTQ+ views, it is unequivocally inappropriate for him to lead immigrant services that are grounded in freedom and inclusion for New York City.

Immigrant Advocates Rally in Harlem in Demand of Passage Of Coverage for All

New York, NY—Today, the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) and the African Services Committee (ASC) rallied together to demand healthcare for Black immigrants in New York through the passage of the Coverage 4 All bill.
