Director of Development
Scarlet Watts is the Director of Development at the NYIC, where she leads and supervises a highly effective Development Team in sustaining and growing the organization’s fundraising revenues from foundations, corporations, individuals, and events. Prior to coming to the NYIC, Scarlet served as Development Director for HELP USA, an organization committed to serving people experiencing or at risk for homelessness, and as Development Director for the Trevor Project, which provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ young people. Across her fifteen-year nonprofit career, Scarlet has worked on issues such as food sustainability, empowerment for girls with disabilities, wildlife conservation, and access to quality affordable health care for all. In her spare time she enjoys painting, sci-fi and fantasy, and discovering new foods to love.
