The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) Member Congress, January 10 - 11, 2022, will bring NYIC Member and partner organizations together from across New York State to build a statewide collaborative advocacy strategy, lobby representatives, and engage in professional development/networking in support of immigrant and refugee communities.
|Monday, January 10||Strategy||Participants will learn about legislative advocacy, explore issues impacting immigrant and refugee communities, and collaborate on building a coalition-based statewide advocacy strategy.|
|Tuesday, January 11||Lobbying||Participants will engage in training around lobbying and then will engage in lobbying visits with their representatives in support of immigrant and refugee communities.|
This event will be two days long. Participants can come for one or both days. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.
NYIC is able to supply an event rate for attendees the night of January 10, 2022 at $114. Otherwise, attendees are responsible for booking their own lodging at the Hilton Albany if they choose to stay overnight. The NYIC hotel room block will be available soon. If you plan on booking a roommate, please indicate your desired roommate when reserving. Transportation will only be provided on day one.
The price of individual attendance is:

- $50 for staff of non-Member organizations
