Request for Proposal: IT Consultant

Overview:

The New York Immigration Coalition, a statewide nonprofit membership organization, is seeking to contract with a consultant to provide high level support across the organization with relation to Information Technology. Our main office is in New York, NY and have smaller, regional offices in Hempstead, Hudson Valley, Buffalo, and Syracuse. We are a growing staff of about 50 people.

The consultant will support our growing team with issues arising with network connectivity, issues with their work machines, and supporting maintenance of the NYIC’s central server (located in NYC), and keep wireless connectivity operational.

Scope: This RFP contains instructions governing proposals to be submitted. The
scope of work for this RFP is for a consultant to submit a proposal. We are seeking a consultant with expertise in supporting growing teams through a wide breadth of IT issues from working directly with machines to maintaining network integrity. Our technology includes computers, copiers, our server, wireless access points, and video conferencing equipment. Additionally, the consultant will support a team that is located across New York State. Vendors local to New York City should periodically provide on-site audits and support.

Deliverables:

  • Provide complete IT support for a growing staff of approximately 50 employees, assisting via phone, email, or remote log-in.
  • Monitoring of workstations, server, and network infrastructure and ensuring proper function, alerting NYIC’s IT team of major issues as they arise.
  • Install and maintain antiVirus and malware protection, supports cyber security measures.
  • Support relationships with appropriate vendors and partners (ISP, phone, equipment requiring network access).
