New York, NY—With one month before the first Census mailing on March 12, New York Counts 2020, a broad-based state-wide coalition working in partnership with Complete Count Committees and state and local government officials, launched its new website today. The website provides easily navigable resources, FAQs, maps, and other useful information for community-based organizations and other stakeholders to stay informed about the Census and get out the count.
By the end of this week, organizations will be able to upload their own events and resources to the website, which will serve as a resource-sharing hub for all those committed to a fair and accurate count in New York State. With less than two months before Census Day (April 1), the new website will serve as a the nerve center for the numerous organizations, local, city, and state government officials working to count every resident across New York State.
"With one month to go, we wanted to make sure New Yorkers will have the tools they need for a fair and accurate Census count at their fingertips through our brand-new website,” said Meeta Anand, Census 2020 Senior Fellow, the New York Immigration Coalition. “Representing months of hard work, the new website is part of our larger campaign to ensure every New Yorker is counted.”

New York Counts 2020 is a broad-based, statewide coalition composed of racial, ethnic, immigrant, LGBTQ+, religious, health, education, labor, housing, social services, and business groups working in partnership with Complete Count Committees and state and local government officials. Our aim is to ensure that New Yorkers across the state – particularly marginalized communities in historically undercounted and at-risk districts – can fully maximize their participation in the 2020 Census.
