NYIC Recommends a “YES” Vote on Ballot Initiatives!

Starting October 26th, New Yorkers will be able to vote on 5 categories containing 19 total proposals. Voters will be asked to approve or disapprove each category, not individual proposals. NYIC recommends a “YES” vote on all questions. Read our recommendations here.

The City Charter was created in 1897 and is the City’s constitution, governing how our tax dollars are spent, how neighborhood-changing land use projects are decided, and which powers our elected officials have. Ballot initiatives let the people decide on big, structural changes and don’t happen often in New York City. So don’t miss the opportunity to reshape your City and vote from October 26-November 5th!
